Diclofast 50 mg 20 Tablets

Reversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 and 2 (COX-1 and 2) enzymes, which results in decreased formation of prostaglandin precursors; has antipyretic, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Diclofast 50 mg uses :
• Arthritis conditions: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, acute gout.
• Migraine attacks.
• Acute musculoskeletal disorders and trauma such as tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and relief of pain in fractures.
• Control of pain and inflammation in orthopedic, dental, and other minor surgery.
• Diclofast 50 tablets can be used for toothache.


Points of interest:

• Do not take aspirin for pain relief while using this medication.
• Do not take this medication if you are dehydrated, due to severe vomiting or diarrhea.
• Stop this medication and tell your doctor immediately if you develop swollen ankles, difficulty breathing, chest pain, black stools, or dark vomit.

How to use diclofast 50 mg :

1 tablet every 8 hours after meals.

Active Ingredients:

Diclofenac Potassium

Diclofast 50 mg Side effects:

• Dyspepsia.
• GI ulceration or bleeding.
• Raised liver enzymes.
• Diarrhea.

Cautions:

• Elderly, Allergic disorders, Coagulation defects, Cardiac Impairment, history of cardiac failure
• The lowest effective dose and shortest duration of action is given to patients having cardiovascular diseases.
• Should not be given to patients with a history of GI diseases.
• Patients with GI disorders who need to have NSAID should be offered a gastroprotective
drugs and must be closely monitored.
• Bronchospasm may be precipitated in patients suffering from or with a previous history of bronchial asthma or allergic disease.
• Contraindicated in patients with moderate to severe renal disease and severe hepatic impairment.

Interactions:

• Anticoagulants: avoid concomitant use with IV diclofenac. Increased risk of hemorrhage
• Cyclosporine: increases the plasma concentration of diclofenac. Reduce dose to half
• Methotrexate: diclofenac reduces the excretion of methotrexate
• Tacrolimus: Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory drugs may enhance the nephrotoxic effect of tacrolimus.
